Lobbying
To help us meet our aims and promote a
healthier, safer and more sustainable world of work, we take part
in lobbying activities. Our lobbying team target politicians of all
parties on key issues. We engage them through one-to-one meetings,
hosting events, activities at party conferences and specialist
briefings.
To see a summary of our key issues, read the
IOSH manifesto, Creating a
healthier UK plc (PDF 106 KB).
One-to-one meetings
We engage with politicians who we think will support and promote
our manifesto messages.
Events
To reach a wider audience, we regularly arrange opportunities
for informed debate and discussion with influential politicians,
policy advisers and business leaders.
Party conferences
We organise activities at political party conferences to
showcase IOSH and promote our aims to delegates. Our exhibition
stand is a focal point for delegates to have informal discussions.
Our fringe meetings offer opportunities to debate topical issues,
with influential panellists.
Briefings
Our briefings help politicians understand specific issues ahead
of important parliamentary debates or inquiries.
