Unguarded saw severs fingers
4 may 2012
A carpenter was feeding timber through an unguarded bench saw,
when the wood slipped out. He caught his hand on the saw blade, and
half of his little finger and half of his ring finger on his right
hand were severed. The young man's injuries mean he will not
be able to continue his career as a carpenter. A simple guard would
have prevented this.
