All in a day's work-aggression and violence in retail and
distribution - LAST CHANCE TO BOOK!
This meeting is the rescheduled event from 13 January
(cancelled due to weather conditions).
Overview
Violence and aggression in the retail and
distribution sector is worryingly common. This event will give
health and safety practitioners working in this sector the
awareness they need to reduce the likelihood of violent situations
developing and, if they do, to minimise the risk to themselves,
other staff and the public.
We’ll consider the whole distribution chain,
including logistics, home delivery and store operations, not
forgetting verbal assaults at call centres with home deliveries.
Through the workshops held on key topics, we hope you’ll be able to
learn from experiences of practitioners working in various areas.
The Health and Safety Executive’s policy team on violence and
aggression will be there to provide an update on security equipment
and guarding.
The morning session will provide a wide range
of speakers whose topics will be discussed in the afternoon
workshops. The delegate package includes a delegate pack, lunch,
refreshments and access to museum exhibits.
Places are limited, so please book early to
avoid disappointment.
This event will be held in the Libeskind Room, Imperial War
Museum.
