Strategy

We plan to extend the health and safety influence of IOSH into the environmental arena, and continue to build on the improvements in communications that we've established. We have three main aims:

• to help the increasing number of IOSH members whose job is developing an environmental dimension
• to help IOSH respond to the changing boundaries between health and safety and the environment
• to keep our members up to date with current environmental initiatives.

Our operational objectives include:

• staging at least two networking meetings per year
• strengthening our link with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) 
• forging new stakeholder links.
