Rod Blest
bmi Acting Head of Safety, Health and Environment
Rod Blest has been with bmi (British Midland
International) since 2004 and has previously been employed for five
years with Servisair in passenger handling.
He has experience as Assistant Health and Safety Officer with
Fresenius Medical Care, a company dealing in the production of
kidney dialysis products. In this role, he provided health and
safety advice to the company’s dialysis clinics around the UK.
Rod currently works with bmi in helping to improve health and
safety training and auditing. He has also designed the bmi health
and safety intranet pages and is web editor for the AAG.
In addition he helped develop the burns and scalds section of
CAP757 Occupational Health and Safety onboard
aircraft.
