De-icing incident verdict due on 9 March 2012

A Canadian judge will be delivering
her verdict on 9 March 2012, as to whether Servisair is
responsible, under the Canada Safety Code, for the death of
aircraft de-icer on 21 December 2009.
As previously reported on the AAG news pages
‘Canadian court told killed de-icing employee had safety
training’ 16 August 2011, Servisair had been charged with
failing to ensure the safety of an employee.
The verdict has been delayed to allow both sides to submit
further written arguments on specific issues related to the
equipment used.
