Kathy Bow CMIOSH is health and safety
adviser for Clydebank College. Before this, Kathy worked in the
public sector and has experience in sales and customer service with
the electronics and marking systems industries.
Kathy has been involved in health and safety for 20 years and
joined IOSH in 1995.

David Allan C.Sci C.Chem MRSC CMIOSH MCQI
CQP is the Quality, Health and Safety Manager for Raeburn
Drilling and Geotechnical Ltd, based in Hamilton, with offices
and laboratories in Aberdeen, Airdrie, Birmingham and Chesham.
He is the current Chairman of the British Drilling
Association, BDA, and Chairman of the BDA’s Standards, Technical,
Health and Safety Committee and has chaired and sat on BDA
working parties producing industry codes of practice for the land
drilling industry.
He is also a safety lecturer on the BDA’s Apprentice
Scheme, a RoSPA trained manual handling instructor and risk
assessor and a United Kingdom Accreditation Service Technical
Quality Auditor, of Materials Testing Laboratories.
David has worked in the construction industry for the past 20
years and the previous 16 years in the chemical and pharmaceutical
industries in the West of Scotland.

Douglas Connell CMIOSH chairs the Branch's
Environmental and Waste Management Group.
He is an Environmental Health and Safety Programme Manager
with Hewlett-Packard in the UK, based at their Erskine campus.
Before this, Douglas worked in the electronics manufacturing sector
with both IBM and Compaq, and for pre-privatisation British Rail.
He has been a Mmmber of IOSH since 1988, and is also a member of
IEMA and a Registered Occupational Hygienist.

Norbert Grant BA CMIOSH MIIRSM is a
practitioner and safety representative. His particular specialism
is in local authorities.
He is a mentor for IOSH’s Professional Development Scheme and is
looking forward to working with branch members. He is an
experienced hillwalker and outdoor emergency first aider, he enjoys
watersports and is undertaking a study into safety in outdoor
leisure activities.

Brian Hume CFIOSH has worked for Balfour
Beatty for 32 years and has recently been appointed the
Health and Safety Manager for Balfour Beatty Regional Civil
Engineering.
Brian has been a member of IOSH since 1984 and has
been involved in health and safety for 29 years.

Keith Underhill MBA CFIOSH MCMI MNI is a
former branch Chair and is director of a business management
consultancy. Prior to this he worked for Caledonian MacBrayne Ltd
and insurers Aviva (Norwich Union) in management roles and with
Aviva as a specialist risk surveyor.
He has been a member of IOSH since 1991 and was elected to the
branch executive in April 2000. He was appointed to serve on the
IOSH Commercial Committee in November 2005 and joined the IOSH
Board of Trustees in November 2006.
