Alan Kirkwood

Alan Kirkwood CMIOSH AIEMA is the Branch Chair for 2009/10.

Alan is Quality, Safety & Environmental Manager for George Leslie Ltd and the Joint Venture Partnership, Biwater Leslie JV. He has been a health and safety practitioner for 17 years, serving both the private and public sectors and with experience in civil engineering, building construction, support services, ship repair and the rail industries.

Fraser Allan

Fraser Allan MSc CMIOSH MaPS MREHIS is the Branch Vice-chair for 2009/10.

Fraser is Head of HSEQ with CBES Ltd, part of the City Holdings Group. His previous experience includes working within both the private and public sectors. Fraser has been a member of IOSH since 1994 and served as Branch Chair in 2003/04.

Douglas Connell

Douglas Connell CMIOSH is Immediate Past Chair, and also chairs the Branch's Environmental and Waste Management Group.

He is an Environmental Health and Safety Programme Manager with Hewlett-Packard in the UK, based at their Erskine campus. Before this, Douglas worked in the electronics manufacturing sector with both IBM and Compaq, and for pre-privatisation British Rail. He has been a Mmmber of IOSH since 1988, and is also a member of IEMA and a Registered Occupational Hygienist.

Gerry Gordon

Gerry Gordon CFIOSH is Branch Treasurer and past Chairman.

Gerry has been a member of IOSH since 1977, has served on the executive committee since 1982, and became Treasurer in 1984. He worked in shipbuilding and local government and became a health and safety practitioner in 1975.

John Donaldson

John Donaldson CMIOSH is Health and Safety Advisor for Central Scotland Police and has worked in the electronics, tanning and management consultancy sectors.

He has been the Branch Secretary since 1998, and has been a member of IOSH since 1996.

Heather Kerr

Heather Kerr CChem MRSC CMIOSH is a health and safety adviser with Strathclyde Fire and Rescue in the Strategic Planning Directorate.

As an environmental chemist with Clyde River Purification Board and latterly SEPA, Heather had developed an interest in health and safety, switching careers in 2001.

Heather is Branch Minutes Secretary.
