Certificate of Merit Awards 2012
20 January 2012
Every year, the West of Scotland branch awards Certificates of
Merit to individuals who are considered to have made a major
contribution towards health and safety in their
workplace.
As a branch, we see a real benefit in recognising the achievements
of people who are not in themselves safety professionals but who
drive the cause forward by their positive attitudes and
actions.
We believe that the Certificate of Merit is a unique award,
aimed at recognising deserving individuals from across our
region. The award recognises the efforts of people who,
although not health and safety professionals themselves, have made
an outstanding contribution to health and safety in their place of
work.
We think that non-health and safety professionals play a
vital part in raising the bar, leading by example and making our
workplaces and people safer. As a branch we feel proud of
these awards and the recognition that they give.
Nominations are open for the 2012 Certificate of Merit
Awards. Please download and complete the proposal
form and submit it to the Branch Secretary no later
than Monday 20 February 2012 (note – there will be no
exception to the cut off date).
The Certificate of Merit Award winners will be invited to
receive their awards on 26 April 2012 then join us for
our branch annual dinner. They will receive complimentary tickets
to the dinner.
