The Waste Awareness Certificate (Construction) is a one-day foundation course which provides an introduction to wastes and their management, along with the knowledge, understanding and skills you need to improve your management of waste.

The course looks at all the basic waste issues:

  • why should we bother?
  • what is waste?
  • waste minimisation
  • waste management safety and environmental aspects
  • the law
  • who can help.

This course, delivered by the Chartered Institution of Wastes
Management, has been tailored to the specific needs of the
