Visit to Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station
Overview
This is a visit to the Sizewell nuclear power station in
Suffolk, 10th July, from 10:30 to 14:00 hours. Owing to the nature
of the site, the visit is limted to 16 places, these will be
allocated on a first come first served basis.
What's in it for me
A unique opportunity to visit an operational nuclear reactor
site, consisting of a guided tour.
Sizewell will provide all the Personal Protective Equipment you
will need. Please provide your shoe and jacket sizes to the
organiser David Heath (contact details shown below)
Who should attend?
Any safety professional that has an interest in nuclear safety
or the power generation industry. The cost will be £40.00 per
person inclusive of 2 meals.
Each visitor will require photographic identification, such as a
passport, for site access via security.
What you need to know
Travel to site will by mini-bus with 3 collection and drop-off
points in the Thames Valley area, aiming to start the journey at
06:00 and returning at 18:00 hours.
All attendees are advised to only bring the minimum in terms of
bags or cases onto the site as all bags will need to be searched.
No mobile phones or other devices, including cameras are allowed on
site.
