Reassurance of safety standards
29 June 2011
Members of IOSH Tees Branch are being
offered the chance to sign up to a scheme that proves their
competence in health and safety.
The Branch has pre-paid 175 Essential Minimum
Safety Standard (EMSS) registrations for its members and is urging
practitioners to join the scheme, which acknowledges the standard
they have reached with a passport they can use for current and
future employers.
Branch chair Peter Walker said: “In these
tough economic times competency has been placed under the
microscope – anything that proves a health and safety practitioner
is of the right standard to take on a role gives them and as well
as companies employing their services reassurance.”
Registration also gives access to a secure
online profile where training records can be uploaded. To find out
more, visit EMSS
online or call +44 (0)1642 619300.
