"Less Elf and Safety ... More Commonsense"
Overview
You are invited to attend the "Less Elf and
Safety… More Common Sense" event being hosted by the West
Wales Branch of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the
IOSH West Wales District on 15 September.
Health & Safety in the workplace over recent years has
received a lot of inaccurate reporting in the media, and negative
publicity regarding a ‘compensation culture’ and ‘unnecessary red
tape’, and myths regarding the responsibilities of employers and
employees.
Buffet and networking will take place from 6.30pm. The
presentation will start at 7pm.
What's in it for me
Andrew Manners from Morgan LaRoche Solicitors will be talking
about the important and legal obligations placed on employers
regarding their health and safety responsibilities within the
workplace.
In light of the current review into health and safety being
undertaken by Lord Young of Grafham and other topical health and
safety issues, Andrew will give an update on Directors and
Managers’ liability under the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate
Homicide Act.
Who should attend?
This presentation is a MUST for employers from
any type of organisation large or small!
