Congratulations to Alan Pitt
13 May 2011
Alan has been connected to the South East
Branch and the committee for over 25 years and has twice been
Branch Chairman. He has always been supportive in a networking
and advisory role.
It is difficult to think of specific examples
which stand out above all the good work Alan has done over the
years. He has simply always been there, a significant part of
the Branch’s ‘Corporate Memory’ and the Branch wouldn’t be what it
is today without his very significant contribution and
dedication.
He has a wealth of knowledge of “Health
and Safety” and Construction and is a good speaker, presenter
and photographer also, always ready to step in if need be
(particularly if a speaker doesn’t turn up).
Alan has also held a number of posts
on the Executive Committee. He has always been a
valuable source of advice and support. He has been one
of the significant guiding lights, someone whose knowledge, skill
and professionalism is to be admired.
As well as serving as Branch
Chairman he has sat on the Construction Group
Committee for a number of years.
He has also served on different
IOSH committees and working parties gathering more knowledge
and information to pass back to the committee and branch
members.
He has always been an active committee
member and has been in charge of the Branch computer and
presentation equipment. Alan has been constructive in all
meetings both Committee and Branch wise.
In summary he has been a very active,
committed and approachable IOSH member.
