The Towergate Partnership is Europe's largest privately owned
insurance entity and was co-founded by Paul Dyer.
Paul Dyer is now a consultant, lecturing on risk management for
businesses across the UK, and a consultant to Seamless Continuity
Planning, a service focused on helping SME's manage their recovery
during a business continuity crisis.
The Solution
Tim Garland will introduce us to BS 25999 and look at systems
you can implement to ensure your organisation is
robust. Tim is a Business Continuity Manager with Towergate,
and is responsible for their own business continuity strategy and
advising clients and external businesses on their business
continuity requirements. Tim is an active member of the
Business Continuity Institute and a member of the review panel
which drafted BS25999.
The Legal Context
Andrew Clark will look at the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and
the legal reasons for addressing BCP in your organisation.
Andrew is personal injury lawyer, the majority of his work being
for accident victims. Alongside this work, Andrew
advises on health & safety, including dealing with the
authorities at the investigation stage, notices and
interviews. He has a particular interest in advocacy,
appearing in health & safety, fatal RTA prosecutions and
Inquests. Andrew is a member of the Health & Safety
Lawyers' Association and an affiliate member of IOSH.
