Education team
Objective
Our objective is to inform the branch interactive programme and
to work alongside the Member Experience team to ensure that the
programme provides the quality of education required to maintain
and grow professional development in the branch. This includes the
programmes being operated by the IOSH Groups.
Aims
As a professional organisation, ensuring the quality,
consistency and appropriateness of the level of education among
our members is a priority. The aims of the Education team are
to ensure that members have the support they need to enable them to
fulfil their learning objectives and maintain the standards
required by the IOSH Charter.
What do we do?
So far, the team has supported members in the Continuing
Professional Development (CPD) and Initial Professional Development
(IPD) required to maintain professional standards. Ongoing
involvement includes mentoring and members are actively encouraged
to contact the Education team for advice and assistance.
Our members have a great deal of valuable knowledge,
which is supplemented at regular branch meetings when external
speakers with specific areas of expertise are invited. This is yet
another way to increase the educational experience and help our
members add to their CPD portfolios.
