We want to use this opportunity to keep you abreast with what the branch has been up to over the past quarter, our plans within the next quarter and our challenges so far.

Future Events:

The Branch Committee is dedicated to making our events and other IOSH information accessible to all our members.  Full details of our 2011/2012 Programme is uploaded on the Branch Events Column of the IOSH, North of Scotland Webpage; please make time to visit the website.

Our next branch meeting for February, 2012 is: a Development Workshop by Carolyn Issitt(Head, Membership Department, IOSH). Please log onto our webpage for details.

Our Challenges:

  •  Web use by members:

Our web page is designed and regularly updated with useful information for the benefit of our members.  This is presently, the most effective way of reaching out to our branch membership.   We are doing our best at this and hope to improve as time goes on to serve you better.

Regrettably, the North Of Scotland web activity reports from IOSH has not been the best, we are truly concerned that not many of us use our website effectively and therefore not many of us are reached out to with our thoughtful and well-planned events.

If you have any difficulties with accessing our webpage, Please contact our Branch Secretary or the Web Champions- Neil Purneill / Joy Iheobi

  •  Event Participation/attendance:

We want to sincerely thank all of our members that have made time as regularly as possible to be present at our branch events.  This is a great encouragement to the Branch Committee as we hope to be our best at the service of our branch and its growth.

The participation and enthusiasm of our members strengthen the quality of activities and support offered by the branch. You as our valued member is an important piece of the jigsaw, the branch is not complete without you.  We can work together to making the North Of Scotland Branch the best. We are looking forward to an improved participation and commitment from us all in the coming months and onwards.

  •  Members contribution to programmes and events ideas:

The Committee is very keen on integrating your ideas into our programmes/events; Please do not hesitate to approach us with your ideas/ suggestions on future events.  Contact the Programme Secretary-with your ideas.
