Member Development
Continuing professional Development (CPD) and Initial
professional development (IPD)
We believe one of our key duties is to
encourage members to develop their prospects by achieving Chartered
membership of IOSH.
A principal function of the Branch Education
Development Adviser (BEDA) and
mentors is to help members to do this.
They particularly concentrate on helping new
Graduate Members through the Initial Professional Development (IPD)
process to achieve Chartered status.
To find out more about the potential support
available with IPD contact the Midland Branch representative Julian
Hunter.
Depending on the route used to achieve
Graduate membership, this can include advice on preparing:
· professional portfolios
· for the open book examination
· for peer review interviews
General information on IPD
be found on the main IOSH web site.
