Overview

Anna Harington is a self-employed occupational health advisor. Anna specialises in sickness absence management and is an associate of The Management Advisory Service (MAS). MAS aim is to enhance employee wellbeing and performance, and prevent work related stress.

This is carried out through consultancy services and training workshops. Anna works specifically on emotional resilience, in individuals and organisations. She has a specialist interest in mental health at work, this stretches from improving performance to enabling recovery and return to work.

Prior to this Anna worked for the Sandwell Workwell project which was funded to improve the health of the working population. The project piloted a number of projects which involved building teams from public, private and third sector to work collaboratively on a shared objective.

Anna also has worked with NEBOSH developing their Certificate in the Management of Health and Wellbeing at work, and remains a scrutineer and examiner for them.

What's in it for me?

The presentation will aim to increase your understanding of stress; the prevention and management of it at work. It will touch on the HSE Stress management framework and the HSE/CIPD management competency framework.

Anna is keen to share learning so the session  will be pro-active with many opportunities for discussions and questions.
