Due to unforeseen circumstances the topic
and speaker for the 9 February 2012 district meeting has
been changed, the new details are as follows:
Overview
A presentation which not only highlights the
Health and Safety problems in Waste Management but also how
they are overcome
1) Internal and External storage of waste -
construction of waste storage areas.
2) Packaging waste in particular, Cardboard
and associated Arson risks.
3) Use of bailing/Compaction equipment and the
associated problems
4) Packaging of waste to comply with carriage
of dangerous goods.
5) Traceability of
waste.
6) Waste legislation- what it is and what it
applies to
7) Some money saving tips.
