All change for civil personal injury claims
Overview
The Midland Branch meeting for 1 November 2012, will
feature a presentation by Darren Smith a partner at Hill Hofstetter
Limited.
What's in it for me?
Darren's presentation will
consider the impact of the "Jackson" reforms to civil
justice and how they may impact on those in the health and
safety field involving civil claims and their relationship
between insurers,
health and safety proceedings and criminal
prosecution.
Much has been said recently about the removal of no win no fee
claims
and the control of referral fees, but what will be the reality
in terms
of the approach to claims and their impact on businesses from
April of
next year?
In addition to these questions, the session will also look at
recent
issues in respect of insurance coverage and future trends in
terms of
the costs associated with health and safety
compliance.
