On the 7 September 2011 the Middle East Branch held an event in Dubai where topics such as the legal issues surrounding incident investigation and the environmental impacts currently affecting the UAE.

Rebecca Kelly from Clyde and Co gave a presentation on the Legal Considerations for Incident Investigators. The presentation which was well received by the 45 delegates that were present, covered the various types of accidents and investigations that take place as well as  practical tips for investigators.

The second presentation was given by Barry Mcloughlin from the International HSE Council which gave an in depth look at Environmental Awareness. Barry covered the positive and negative impacts of the environment in terms of global warming, water pollution etc.  Examples of ways we can help improve our environmental impact were also given.
