Student Competition Interested?
22 December 2010
IOSH London Metropolitan Branch
Committee would like to improve the opportunities for
disseminating BSc and MSc project work by using the Branch as a
forum for presenting students’ research. We are running a
competition for the best academic research project in the field of
occupational safety and health by BSc and MSc students.
We’re asking students to submit a one-page abstract of their
research work. We're looking for work which represents the
best practical or theoretical contribution to all aspects of health
and safety. This could be either a thorough academic study of
existing practices or theories, or innovative approaches and
valuable developmental work.
We will then invite the top three winning entries to attend a
branch meeting and talk for 20 minutes about their research.
There is a top prize of £100 for the winner and two runners up
prizes of £50.
The closing date is 30 April 2011 and is open
to all UK based students.
Please see flyer for
more information. If you have any questions about the competition
please contact Justin
Tyas.
