Consultation documents

Two consultation documents relating to
healthcare have been issued by the HSA. Feedback forms are attached
for comments:
- Draft HSA Guidance on the Management of Manual Handling
in
Healthcare
The purpose of the guide is to highlight the key aspects of
managing
manual handling in healthcare. Comments should be returned to
Francis Power at the HSA on or before Tuesday 16 August.
- Draft HSA Introduction to Managing Health and
Safety in Healthcare
This draft is the initial stage of a proposed learning support
for
department heads in healthcare in managing health and safety. The
script is intended as an introduction only to managing
health and safety.
The HSA are inviting comments on the draft and how it could be
developed further to best suit the needs of department heads in
healthcare.
There is a feedback form for comments and the HSA have asked
some specific questions on the form about the script, how it could
be used and methods of delivery so that we can be informed on how
best to proceed.
All comments will be considered when finalising the guidance and
the
final document will be made available on the HSA website.
