Manual Handling Training : The New Approach
24/03/2010 - IOSH Ireland Eastern District Evening Seminar
Our evening seminar covering Manual Handling Training the New
Approach presented by Mr. Frank Power, Inspector (Projects Manager)
Health & Safety Authority was very well received. The
event was attended by over 100 people and the networking session
afterwards was a great success.
Mr. Frank Power discussed the new FETAC Standards which are due
for release on 31st March 2010. The seminar
focused on the fact that for the first time there will be a
national standard in place for manual handling training in
Ireland. There will be a 2 year transition period from the
release of the standards for instructors to apply.
