International safety and health symposium 2012
Moving forward - through innovation and leadership
The IOSH Ireland Branch, which was founded in 1982 with just a handful of members, has now a membership of over 1,700.
To celebrate 30 years of leadership in the field of Occupational Safety and Health, a comprehensive programme of events throughout the year is currently being planned.
The highlight will be an International Safety and Health Symposium, to be held on Thursday 08 and Friday 09 November at Clontarf Castle in Dublin. The theme is “Moving forward - through innovation and leadership”.
Confirmed speakers include:
Dr Christa Sedlatschek, Director of the European Safety Agency
Judith Hackett, Chair of the HSE
Martin O'Halloran, CEO of the Health and Safety Authority
George Lucas, Chair of the HSENI
Lawrence Waterman, Head of health and safety at the Olympic Delivery Authority
The symposium promises to be the highlight of a very exciting year and the Ireland Branch would like to take this opportunity to invite safety professionals to come and perhaps make a ‘week-end’ of it and enjoy the renowned Dublin Welcome.
