23 May 2011
May 2011
Outgoing chair Les Campen welcomed members to
the fourth Essex branch AGM. He highlighted his year in office by
outlining the improvement that had been made to the speaker
selection process and declared that “turkey was no longer on the
menu”. He then went on to outline the plans for the forthcoming
year in particular the focus on support for branch members via the
BEDA and membership secretary roles.
Following the nomination of branch officials,
he then formally handed over the chair to Stephen Catley (see
chair’s welcome)

Subash Ludhra gave a presentation as president
elect on his plans for the forthcoming year and then took questions
from the floor on various aspects of IOSH corporate policy, many of
which were quite challenging. He then went on to deliver a legal
update in his capacity as a health & safety consultant (see
presentations page for slides).
Stephen Catley concluded the meeting and
presented Subash with a small memento of his visit.
