Overview
A session on what Dynamic Risk Assessment is
about and how to apply it, delivered by a very
experienced former Police Officer, covering the following with a
question and answers session at the end:
- Defining Risk Assessment
- Risk Environment
- Case Studies
- Process for decision makers
- Need for change and discussion
After the main presentation Rob Taylor, who is the Branches
Representative on IOSH's Construction Group Committee, will provide
a short update and discussion session on the Group's
work.
UPDATE (8/6/2010): unfortunately due to
illness Rob Taylor will no longer be able to attend the meeting.
His session will be rearranged for a future date.
The event will be held at Writtle College, Chelmsford 9th June
from 2pm until 4:30 pm, where a light lunch will be provided from
1pm onwards.

Speakers
Michael Thwaites, Retired Chief Superintendant
(Essex Police)
34 years experience in managing threat and risk throughout his
career including serving in three forces, City of London,
Metropolitan and Essex Constabularies. Specialising in threat and
Risk decision making, Michael was also head of Operations for Essex
Police with responsibility for high risk Firearms Operations,
Kidnap, Roads Policing, Marine, Air Support and Major Incidents
including operational response to Acts of Terrorism.
