The IOSH East Midlands Branch meeting on the 17 March 2011 saw our largest attendance of the year with 150 members and guests attending the Legal Update.

Guest speaker for the evening was Ron Reid from Shoosmiths.

Ron provided members an insight to the health and safety legislative changes over the past twelve months as well as a summary of recent case law.

Ron also gave his views on the proposals contained within the recent Lord Young report as well as discussing with members the HSE Consultants Register.

Ron answered questions from Branch Members and has kindly made a copy of his presentation available for IOSH East Midlands Branch members which can be accessed via the members area of the website.
