Welcome

Flashover training February 2010

The East Anglia Branch is one of the largest branches of IOSH, with almost 1,500 members from Norfolk, Suffolk and parts of Cambridgeshire. Our members work in health and safety and other disciplines for a wide range of organisations in the area.

When you join IOSH you are allocated to a Branch. You can express a preference, but if you are unsure you will be allocated to a Branch based on your postcode. If you later decide you wish to join a different Branch, contact membership at IOSH to request the change.

We welcome visitors to our meetings from members of other safety groups and IOSH branches and only ask you to contact the secretary or the event organiser before hand so that we can gauge the level of interest. All our events provide the opportunity for members and visitors to meet in a friendly and informal atmosphere for discussion, networking and keeping up to date with developments and best practice and we look forward to meeting you.

In these pages, you'll find information on our Branch programme and meeting venues.

You can contact the secretary by e-mail at secretary-eastanglia@ioshnetworks.co.uk or by telephone (in the right hand side bar).

The editor of the newsletter and the web champion for the East Anglia website can be contacted at editors-eastanglia@ioshnetworks.co.uk .

Meetings in 2009-10 will be held in September, November, December, February, March, May and June. Our meetings are held at different venues throughout the Branch area and we have a speaker at each meeting. We cover a wide range of topics related to health and safety issues. Our annual seminar will be held in June and we organise several workshops during the year.

Details of meetings for the current programme are listed on the Branch events page. We realise that the East Anglia Branch covers a large geographical area and that many members find it difficult to attend Branch meetings. If you can't attend, you can catch up through our meeting reports in our Newsletter. For some meetings, the speaker's notes are available to download (see the sidebar links to 'Newsletters' and 'Speakers' presentations').

A separate sidebar link 'Reports and other information' gives you information from the IOSH sector-specific Groups and other items.

We welcome any comments on this website or the running of the Branch and are always pleased to have recommendations for speakers or events. Please contact a member of the Branch committee through the 'Contact us' box with any comments or suggestions.

If you're interested in joining IOSH, please either contact a member of the committee for an informal chat about what IOSH does, or visit the main membership pages for more information.
