Welcome to new members
What the Branch does
Each year, the Branch organises approximately:
- 6 free afternoon meetings, with one or more
speakers,
- around 3 workshops (many of which are free), and
- one or two larger events which carry a small charge.
These events are all suitable for maintaining your CPD, as are
many of the activities that you carry out at work.
Preceding the six afternoon meetings there is generally a light
buffet lunch and time for networking. The meetings begin with some
Branch business and news of upcoming events.
We run a car-sharing scheme. The list of participants can be
found on the Branch forum - details of how to get onto that are
below.
A page which has a brief summary of the forthcoming events
is here. Presentations from past events
are on this page.
Branch Calendar of Events
Each year we produce printed calendar, which is
distributed by post to members in the Branch around the end of
August. A copy of this calendar is to be found
here.
You will be notified of forthcoming events, near the date, via
the weekly publication Connect, which comes to your e-mail account.
Keep an eye on this, and on this site, as occasionally we have
to make last-minute changes to the calendar.
The Committee
You will find the names of the current committee on this page. New members who are studying for a
membership upgrade will find the BEDA representative to be
helpful.
Branch Newsletters
Approximately three times a year we produce a Newsletter. These
are placed on the Branch website at this
location.
Branch Forum
The Branch has a discussion forum, with access restricted solely
to members of the Branch. To access it you need to log in (in the
same way as you would for your CPD) and go to
this link.
The site is used for:
- networking, branch activities; meetings, event planning, online
meetings and discussions.
- discussion of local Health and Safety issues that will only
have direct relevance to our region.
- publicising those who are willing to car-share to
meetings.
