Branch Event 2012: If Only!
Your major incident learning journey
This year we are holding an event on Wednesday 13 June at
the West Wing, Ickworth House, Horringer, IP29 5QE.
About this event
Please note that this programme may be subject to minor
changes.
The event will initially look at the commercial and personal
impact of a major incident through real and simulated events.
Following this, by using interactive theatre, an event will be
played out and delegates will be able to take part in the process
of identifying failures that led to the major incident. Using the
experiences of the presenters, delegates will be able to reflect on
the incidents and apply what they learn to their own workplace.
The Health and Safety Executive will discuss the wider aspects
of what happens in the aftermath of a major incident and the impact
it could have on you. We will also focus on what good risk
management looks like from an insurer's perspective. Our opening
and closing keynote speakers will talk about the effects of an
incident on a safety-conscious organisation and on the importance
of strong leadership in both preventing and managing major
incidents.
