Following the success of last year's event, the Food and Drink Manufacture Health and Safety Forum and the IOSH Food and Drink Group will be running another two-day conference for the food and drink manufacturing industry in October.
Day one
Organised by the Food and Drink Manufacture Health and Safety Forum, this day sets out the main causes of injuries and explores injury reduction associated with workplace transport, machinery and plant issues.
Day two
Organised by the IOSH Food and Drink Group, day two looks at occupational health priorities and explores musculoskeletal disorder prevention, stress and mental health.
The programme
Overall, the conference will focus on the basic hazards facing the food and drink industry and will provide simple and practical advice on how to prevent injuries and occupational ill health, as well as offering valuable networking opportunities.
Judith Hackitt CBE, chair of the HSE, will be the keynote speaker. The conference programme will cover important and topical issues such as:
