Resource centre
4 January 2012
To help our members have access to the
wide range of information needed in the world of Construction
Health and Safety, the Construction Group Committee has introduced
a Resource Centre to its website. The idea is that this one
location can provide a variety of links to a wide range of
the information focused on the needs of the construction health and
safety professional.
More links will follow, but currently, the
Resource Centre contains the following sections:
Training Resources. These
links give you fast access to information on vocational and
academic qualifications that are needed in the Construction
Industry together with links to a variety of training organizations
and institutions.
Guidance from Specialist
Organisations. From demolition through to painting and
decorating, these organizations publish health and safety guidance
that is essential for our members.
Construction Legislation.
This section provides quick access to construction related
legislation in the UK.
PPE. British and
European Safety Product Standards are shown via this link.
Articles. The CG have
published articles on the subjects of Health, Law and Academia.
More subjects and regular update articles will follow in the
future. As new articles are published, the old ones will be
retained and published in the Archived Articles section.
International Links. IOSH is
a member of INSHPO, the International Network of Safety and Health
Practitioner Organisations. INSHPO is a forum for international
collaboration among professional organisations to improve safety
and health at work. Member organisations and further international
industry links are given on the INSHPO website.
To find the Resource Centre, go to Networks
> Our Groups > Construction Group > Resource Centre. Why
not make the Construction Group web site your home page for fast
access to the industry contacts you will find most useful.
